Marlin-DRM Users Forum Japan

Marlin-DRM Users Forum Japan is established to study, develop and provide the Japan Specific Compliance Rules and Implementation Guidelines needed for the commercial use of Marlin DRM on may 2007.
Since about ten years, The many member's perticipation, many contents provider services, many commercial equipments are appeared. The purpose of the Forum was demonstrated enough.
Then, it proposed dissolving in the 11th General Assembly Meeting. It discussed it according to Article 20 of the Forum rule and it was passed. Result, the Forum was dissolved on September 1, 2017.
We wish to express our gratitude deeply for support and the effort for many years.

• 2013/09/12:Based on the commencement of licensing for "The Next Generation Secure Memory (NSM)" Content Protection System, approved Specific CR v1.7 and Implementation Guidelines v1.7 for IP Multicast version and Specific CR v1.6 and Implementation Guidelines v1.5 for DL version as the deliverables of this forum to allow IPTV-ES protected contents to be exported to NSM.

• 2012/ 4/25:Approved Specific CR v1.4 and Implementation Guidelines v1.4 for VoD version and Specific CR v1.6 and Implementation Guidelines v1.6 for IP Multicast version and Specific CR v1.5 and Implementation Guidelines v1.4 for DL version as the deliverables of this forum.
• 2011/11/30: Approved Specific CR v1.5 and Implementation Guidelines v1.5 for IP Multicast version as the deliverables of this forum.
• 2011/09/12~2011/09/16: Held the fifth General Assembly meeting.
• 2011/03/09: Approved Specific CR v1.3 and Implementation Guidelines v1.3 for VoD version and Specific CR v1.4 and Implementation Guidelines v1.4 for IP Multicast version and Specific CR v1.4 and Implementation Guidelines v1.3 for DL version as the deliverables of this forum.
• 2011/01/17: Marlin Developer Community published "Marlin Errata: Marlin IPTV End-point Service Specification v.1.0.2 version 1.0".
